The Technology Watch

What is the Technology Watch ?

Technology watch is an essential activity for all companies seeking to develop or maintain their competitive edge.

In today's fast-changing business environment, where many markets are subject to fierce competition, it is essential to keep abreast of emerging innovations, knowledge and know-how in one's sector of activity.

Properly conducted, monitoring is a powerful tool for any company wishing to strengthen its capacity for innovation. It makes it possible to gather relevant information at the right time, and to provide an overview of developments in a market, its players and its technologies, in order to inform decision-making. Its role is therefore eminently strategic.

What exactly are the challenges of technology watch? And how can you effectively implement this approach, whether you're part of a dedicated monitoring unit or a strategic corporate department? Let's explore these topics without further ado!

The BTS SIO E5 Exam

What is the E5 Exam ?

The E5 exam, Support and Deployment of IT Services, assesses candidates on key competencies such as IT asset management, incident resolution, online presence development, project-based work, user service deployment, and professional development. The goal is to evaluate how well candidates have acquired and applied these skills in real-world scenarios.

The exam consists of a 40-minute oral assessment divided into two phases. First, candidates present their professional journey and justify how they acquired the required competencies within a maximum of 10 minutes. This is followed by a 30-minute discussion with the jury, allowing for a deeper evaluation of the candidate’s experience, contributions to projects, and ability to articulate their work within a team.

For candidates assessed during training, the process mirrors the formal exam structure. The training institution submits a proposed score along with an evaluation grid to the jury. The jury has the right to review evaluation documents and ensure compliance with official exam regulations.
